Microsoft has done a study that has shown that the goldfish has an average attention span of nine seconds, and the average human today has an attention span of eight seconds.

Our attention span is one second less than a friggin’ goldfish, but check this out. The guppy has an attention span of 15 seconds. What I’m telling you as you’re watching this right now, the guppy has almost two times the attention span of a human being living in the United States and other countries around the world. Two times the attention span of your clients. Two times the attention span of your boss. What do you think about that? What do you do about that?

When you’ve heard me talk earlier about the enemy we’re up against, this month is all about “know your enemy”, I’m not talking about the enemy in the physical sense. What I’m talking about are the enemies to the tracks that you want to lead, the enemies to the higher purpose that you want to serve. A lot of that is behavior, a lot of that is culture.

Join me by the campfire and let’s talk about how to lead our way through “The Guppy Effect”

I’ll see you on the Rooftop…
