FEAR IS CONTAGIOUS, BUT SO IS LEADERSHIP.

LEADING THROUGH CHAOS

Right after 9/11, less than 100 Green Berets went into Afghanistan and were thrown into the fray. They had to link up with locals to figure out what they needed. They sent back comms in the blind requesting saddles, information, weapons, etc. and the whole of government delivered. Saddles were air-dropped and a huge transfer of knowledge took place that enabled them to do strategic things.

That’s where we are now, except we’ve got a new group of operators – healthcare workers, business owners, educators, restaurant owners, grocery store stockers, truck drivers, community leaders – out in the trenches doing the essential work of our nation to keep the lights on while we deal with this virus.

These are unprecedented times. We have a persistent threat knocking on our door. Leading through this chaos is no easy thing. We need to overcome fear while we deal with these very real internal & external threats because at the end of the day, the ones who are going to lead us out of this…are you.

DANGER CLOSE

We have a saying in the military when everything is falling apart and we are facing chaos that the enemy is ‘danger close.’ As this pandemic upends every aspect of our lives, we have a new enemy that’s danger close and it’s up to us to lead ourselves through the chaos.

For 45 minutes, we’re going to talk about you and your life and give you some mental performance and special operations moves so you can lead yourself while things are falling apart.

Being a Relevant Leader in Times of Low Trust

JUNE 11th, 7-8 PM EST

Last week we had a conversation on gaining perspective on racism in America from Richard Dickerson, Jose Cabrera, Diego Hernandez, and LEO Garrett Teslaa. The feedback from our community was eye-opening and we were all able to come away with something profound. It wasn’t an easy conversation, but a necessary one. Our goal isn’t just to admire the problem, but to come away with salient steps to move forward.

In this webinar, Richard will be back to talk about the lessons we learned and best-practices from our time serving in the low-trust areas of Afghanistan, where we had to bridge trust and become effective leaders capable of being catalysts and maintaining critical dialogue in those villages – just like we have to do here in our communities where trust is at an all-time low.

We have some hard work in front of us. But first, we need to get real honest and have some hard conversations.

A Conversation on Racism in America

JUNE 4th, 7-8 PM EST

The violence and racism moving through our country saddens this old veteran. I thought I understood race and relationships in this country, but I realize now that I don’t know a damn thing. What I thought I knew about trust and human connection, I have so much more to learn. My pledge is that Rooftop Leadership will continue to fight for leadership and bridging trust…to try to find ways for us to better understand each other and connect so that our kids will find a world better than it is now. We will use our platform to increase better understanding and work toward a shared perspective. We need leadership more than ever.

We have some hard work in front of us. But first, we need to get real honest and have some hard conversations.

This webinar will center on gaining perspective on racism in America from Richard Dickerson and Jose Cabrera. Beyond gaining much-needed perspective and learning from their experiences, we are going to look at ways we can begin to bridge trust and become effective leaders capable of being catalysts and maintaining critical dialogue in our communities. Our goal isn’t just to admire the problem, but to come away with salient steps to move forward.
